The University of Florida is committed to providing faculty and staff with resources, policies, and processes to meet the accessibility needs of its students and staff as required by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Please find the information here as a first step to solving common accessibility problems in a variety of areas.

The university's Center for Instructional Technology & Training offers a free training course in Canvas that provides eight modules that cover how online components can present problems for learners with vision, hearing, cognitive, or motor impairments. Please visit Accessible Online Environments to complete the training.

At the University of Florida we strive to ensure that all employees - current and prospective - receive reasonable accommodations so they can be productive and enjoy the benefits of employment.

All current employees with disabilities that require accommodations are asked to voluntarily register with the UF Office for Accessibility to ensure that appropriate accommodations are provided. To register, complete the Accommodation Request Form. More information about the employee accommodation process can be found on the UF ADA website. For additional assistance or questions, email adaservices@ufl.edu.

For prospective employees with disabilities that require accommodations during the interview process, please contact UF Office for Accessibility or notify the appropriate department.
