Interpreter Services

The University of Florida provides interpreting services for students with accessibility needs. Please follow the process below in order to ensure your needs are met.

  1. Contact the DRC by calling 352.392.8565 to schedule an appointment with the Assistive Technology Coordinator, Kayla M. Weaver, either in person, over the phone, or via Skype.
  2. Before each semester, the student should provide Kayla with his/her anticipated interpreting needs.
  3. At the beginning of each semester, the student should request an accommodation letter each term via the DRC website then provide it to instructors and teaching assistants (TAs).

UF also requires student organizations to provide access to all programs they coordinate or present. The UF Student Government also provides resources for SG funded student organizations for accommodating persons with disabilities. For further information, please visit the UF SG ADA Policy website.
For additional interpreter services, please visit the Environmental Health and Safety website.
